Pregnancy Counselling
Head, Heart & Hands provides non-directive counselling for women concerned about a recent pregnancy. Women find pregnancy support counselling helpful for a number of pregnancy-related issues such as:
- Making decisions and exploring possible options about an unplanned pregnancy
- Teenage pregnancy and support for family members
- Coming to terms with unexpected outcomes (eg. Genetic conditions, miscarriage, problems at birth or anxiety about birth)
- Relationship issues or discussing the pregnancy with others (eg. Partner, children, parents, religious or cultural groups)
- Self-esteem and body image difficulties during or after pregnancy
- Depression or anxiety during or after pregnancy
- Self-care during pregnancy
- Dealing with a variety of feelings related to the pregnancy, birth or early months of being a parent.
Head, Heart & Hands is a confidential, non-biased and non-judgmental service and provides education, information and referrals for all options available for women.
